Serve Up Delicious Brownies Quick And Easy

A delicious main course should be followed by an equally delicious dessert. But it’s not always that you got lots of free time to produce a dessert. Luckily, you can make brownies even when in a time crunch. The following is a quick and easy recipe for making this yummy chocolate dessert.

The ingredients include a pack of cake mix, half a cup of brown sugar, a medium-sized egg, and a stick of butter. Of course you will also need half a cup of cocoa powder and a cup of coarsely chopped peanuts. As for the tools, you will need medium-sized microwaveable square cake pans, large mixing bowl, a large spoon, and electric beaters.

Since the goal is to make a dessert in a snap, you will only need a countertop microwave oven for baking! Once you have set everything, the stick of butter should first be melted. Put it in a small bowl, chop it into tiny pieces, and use a paper towel to cover the bowl. Place it in the microwave and heat for 5-10 seconds. Stir and repeat heating until the butter is completely melted.

Transfer the melted butter into your large bowl. Put in your brown sugar, cocoa powder, egg, and of course the instant cake mix. Using electric beaters, mix all the ingredients for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is thick enough. Add the coarsely chopped peanuts, but this time using only a large spoon to mix it into the batter.

With a cooking spray, grease the pan then carefully transfer the mixture into it with the help of a large spoon. Simply follow the microwaving instructions printed at the back of the packaging of the cake mix. If your microwave oven doesn’t have a turntable, rotate the cake pan every 2-3 minutes for even baking of all sides of the cake.

Insert a clean toothpick or skewer into the center of the brownies to check if it’s done. You can tell if it’s already done if the toothpick or skewer comes out clean. Remove and allow it to cool thoroughly. If you’re really in a time crunch, place the pan on a cooling rack. Slice the brownies into small square pieces and serve.

You can even use this very same recipe in making a delectable chocolate cake by simply using round cake pans. Once cooled, place a large plate on top and turn upside down to transfer the baked goodie. Use ready-made frosting in chocolate or vanilla flavor to completely cover it. Decorate with chopped chocolate chips, marshmallows and the like.
