One of the most unique desserts you can make at home is a turtle cheesecake. It is a popular type of dessert that is enjoyable and is easy to make.

Many people enjoy receiving a delicious cheesecake as a special gift.  Consider making two, so that you can freeze one to give for a special occasion or give as a gift next time you’re invited to a dinner pary.

To start with making a turtle gourmet cheesecake you will need to get a cup of pecans prepared. You will need to chop them up to where you will have a full cup of pecans. After this you will need to toast these pecans for six minutes in an oven set at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the pecans are ready you will need to melt six tablespoons of unsalted butter in a small bowl.

After this you will need to gather some vanilla wafers and crush them into crumbs. You should have two cups of these crumbs ready for your turtle cheesecake. These crumbs should then be combined with the butter you have melted. This combination will be placed in the bottom of a springform pan that is nine inches round. After this the pan is placed on a cookie sheet and heated for ten minutes in an oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and then cool it afterwards.

Caramel candies are important for the turtle cheesecake. To get them into your turtle cheesecake you will need to melt them. You should use fourteen ounces of these candies. Next you will need to mix the caramel with evaporated milk. You should use five ounces of this material in your recipe. This mixture will be poured into the pan over the crust that was made out of the vanilla wafers and melted butter you used. The pecans will go on top of this.

The next parts of preparation involve getting cream cheese and chocolate chips prepared. Twenty-four ounces of cream cheese should be added to the recipe. You also need half a cup of white sugar and one and a half teaspoons of vanilla extract.

Two eggs should then be added. The entire mixture should be mixed up to where it is smooth. Half a cup of chocolate chips will then need to be melted and mixed into the mixture.

The last part deals with getting your turtle cheesecake properly baked. The mixture will go into your pan to be cooked for forty minutes at 350 degrees. After this you will need to get your cheesecake to cool in a refrigerator for a day.
